VeryNearlyFallingInWater: A functional, simple firepit!
This work, not necessarily inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, was done for a homeowner in Hendersonville, Tn. It's a very simple build: Dig out a flat spot, pushing the dirt out to the downhill side to increase the size. Drop a band of dirt around the perimeter to be covered with pine straw as an edging. Install crusher run. Finally, install the type of block found at Lowes or Home Depot to create the firepit and back wall.
